[Also in Division H2] A holder for integrated circuits 32 comprises a rectangular insulating housing 26 divided into two chambers 38 by a central wall 42, contact blades 68 being located in recesses in the walls of each chamber for slidably engaging leads 72 which extend orthogonally from the inserted integrated circuits 32, the contacts 68 and 72 being secured together by resilient plastics combs 30 which are press-fitted into each chamber 38. Each blade 68 projects orthogonally from a metal plate 64 of a stack of plates which are separated by layers of insulating tape, the blades being positioned so that integrated circuit leads to be interconnected engage blades 68 of a common plate 64. Integrated circuits 32 in opposite chambers 38 may be interconnected by use of plates in the form of closed loops (58), (Fig. 9, not shown). External circuits may be connected to the integrated circuits 32 by terminals (see Division H2) housed in inserts 24 of the housing 26 so that rod portions of the terminals extend into the recesses in the chamber walls to engage the contacts 68 and 72, the contacts being soldered together if desired.
