Abstract

1,135,539. Packages; display boxes. MATTEL Inc. 8 May, 1967 [27 May, 1966], No. 21336/67. Headings B8C and B8P. A package comprises a carton 12 having a viewing window 32 and an opening 44 through which e.g. a pullstring on an article 30 may be manipulated, the article being held securely in the carton which is enclosed except at the opening by a transparent heat-shrunk wrapper. The edge of the wrapper around the opening 44 is heat-fused to strengthen it. On the inside of the carton is a background scene for the article. A light-admitting window 34 is provided at the top of the carton.
