[Also in Division D1] A yarn package is formed by winding yarn having a denier of 840 or more on to a small bobbin (less than two inches outer diameter for cylindrical bobbins and two inches mean diameter for cones) such that the ratio of bobbin revolutions to a complete to and fro cycle is in the range 3À354125: 1 to 3À412500: 1. This process is stated to prevent sloughing of the yarn.
