Capsules.-An apparatus functioning as an ampoule or adapted for delivering drugs not requiring an absorbent pad comprises a glass tube A formed with a neck at each end over which a rubber bulb B and an absorbent pad C a r e stretched and secured by a wire &c. A rubber or other waterproof cap D, secured to the device by a cord D<1>, is provided to cover the pad C and retain the contents when not in use. In operation, the cap is removed and so much of the liquid as is required is extruded by compressing the bulb B. In refilling, the pad is not removed but the bulb B is compressed before immersing the pad in the liquid. In a modification, the bulb B may be dispensed with, the end of the tube being sealed, and when a pad is not required, the neck to which it is attached is reduced in size.
