Abstract

1,133,831. Safety harness. COX OF WATFORD Ltd. 23 Aug., 1965 [21 Aug., 1964], No. 34301/64. Heading A3V. A single strap 1 forms a lap and diagonal harness by having its ends anchored respectively to the upper seat back at 3 and to the seat pan at 2 and by carrying a buckle part 4 adjustable along the strap to vary the relative lengths of the lap and diagonal portions and engageable with a buckle member 5 on the opposite side of the seat pan from the anchorage points 2 and 3. The upper strap anchorage is preferably an inertia reel.
