Alloys.-In the production of alloys containing nickel and zinc in which the nickel and zinc are alloyed with the other constituents in the form of a nickel-zinc alloy, the nickel-zinc alloy is made by melting the nickel in the vapour of the zinc. The zinc is vapourized in a closed vessel, after which the temperature is raised and the nickel added, which melts in the zinc vapour.
