Abstract

1,132,404. Shielded enclosures. COMMISSARIAT A L'ENERGIE ATOMIQUE. 19 July, 1967 [4 Aug., 1966], No. 33183/67. Heading B4Q. An arrangement for removing a lamp 2 from a shielded enclosure 1 comprises a flask 7 which is positioned over an opening 4 of the enclosure through which the lamp is to be raised. The lamp 2 is carried by a plug 3 detachably connected to a plate 10, the plate 10 being rigid with a threaded rod 14 co-operating with a nut 15 rotatable in. a shaft 12 by a worm 16. During the raising movement of the lamp. 2 to the chain-line position by rotating the worm 16, rollers 18 on the plate 10 engage a cam surface 17 so that on further rotation of the worm the lamp is rotated with the shaft 12. to the solidline position in which it is opposite an opening 6 in. a side extension 5 of the flask 7. The lamp may now be lowered through the opening. 6 by reverse rotation of the worm 16.
