Abstract

1,132,253. Filter press. K. KURITA. 16 Feb., 1966, No. 6869/66. Heading BID. A filter press comprises pairs of links 12, 13 joining adjacent filter plates 11, one link of each pair being pivotally connected to the upper part of one plate and the other link to the upper part of the other plate and the links being pivotally jointed at 15 a horizontal rod 17 which is suspended from the joints 15 of the pairs of links by springs 16, and a filter cloth 20 attached to the lower ends of adjacent plates and supported by the horizontal rod 17 whereby on separation of the plates the filter cloth is separated from the plates from the upper end downwards to facilitate removal of the filter cake.
