Abstract

1,131,733. Defrosting. THERMO KING CORP. 10 June, 1966 [17 June, 1965], No. 25924/66. Heading F4H. [Also in Division H1] In a refrigerator having a two speed fan 76, Fig. 3, for circulating air through the condenser 50 and in which the defrosting valve 60 is controlled by a pressure sensitive switch 12 (see Division H1) detecting the pressure drop of the air flow across the condenser fins 72, the switch 12 has alternative operating pressure differentials controlled by an electromagnet 24 so that the pressure differential for initiating defrosting is raised when the fan 76 is being driven at the higher speed. The fluid compressor 40 and fan 76 are both driven by an electric motor 64 having an electromagnetic speed control 66, 68 associated with a thermostat 70, 71 which also controls the electromagnet 24 of the pressure sensitive defrosting control switch 12.
