Atmospheric gas burners. - A longitudinally movable nipple-regulator is operated by a nut e engaging the screwed rear end of the stem d of the regulator and prevented from moving axially by screws h engaging a circumferential groove j in the nut. The stem is prevented from rotating by a pin n engaging a longitudinal groove in a boss k on the stem. The forward end of the stem is maintained centrally by wings o, and has a pyramidal or other tapered part p coacting with a correspondingly shaped nipple orifice.
