Abstract

1,130,501. Venturi-scrubber. AMERICAN AIR FILTER CO. Inc. 1 Nov., 1965 [6 Jan., 1965], No. 46186/65. Heading B1R. A venturi-scrubber of rectangular crosssection has angled dampers 9 movable in unison to vary the cross-sectional area of the throat section of the scrubber. The dampers are pivotally mounted on rods 13 and located in damper-boxes 8. Scrubbing liquid is injected transversely into the gas flow immediately above the dampers and liquid may also be supplied to the damper boxes at 28.
