Abstract

1,128,521. Toothed gearing. CLEAR HOOTERS Ltd. 12 May, 1966 [22 May, 1965], No. 21757/65. Heading F2Q. [Also in Division F4] In a directional nozzle for a heating or ventilating system (see Division F4) the air flow is controlled by flaps 7, 8 swung towards or away from each other upon rotation of a knurled cap 17. The cap is carried on one end of a spindle 4 the other end carrying a crown wheel which engages a bevel gear 15 on each flap. The crown wheel may be of nylon and to avoid back-lash may have one tooth less than the pinions would have if they were complete.
