Abstract

1,126,610. Epoxy resin adhesive. HENKEL & CIE G.m b.H. 15 Aug., 1967 [16 Aug., 1966], No. 37359/67. Heading C3B. A cold setting adhesive comprises (A) 95- 70% of a liquid epoxide compound prepared from dihydric phenols having an epoxide equivalent of 170-300; (B) 5 to 30% of a liquid epoxidized polydiolefine in which the monomers are linked wholly or predominantly in the cis- 1,4 position; and (C) a hardener which is an amine or a polyamide containing free amino groups. (B) is preferably an epoxidized polybutadiene having an epoxide oxygen content of 6 to 15% by wt. and having a viscosity at 50‹ C. of 1500-10,000 centipoises.
