Abstract

1,125,336. Phase compensated limiter circuits. BRITISH BROADCASTING CORP. 22 Feb., 1967 [23 March, 1966], No. 12877/66. Headings H3A and H3R. An amplitude limiter for phase modulated signals (e.g. colour television) comprises a limiting device 13, a phase comparator 12 for comparing the phases of the signals before and after passing through the limiting device to derive a correction signal, and means 16 (e.g. a varactor diode) responsive to the correction signal to reduce the phase difference between the input and output signals. The circuit may also include a phase shifter for adjusting the phase of the output signal.
