Abstract

1,125,262. Mounting electric immersion heaters. ELPAG A.G. CHUR. 22 April, 1966 [23 April, 1965], No. 17764/66. Heading H5H. An arrangement for securing a heater 1 in an aperture in a wall 9 of a vessel comprises sealing means 4 and a fixing bolt 6 having a blind hole 11 therein for a temperature dependant resistance element connected in a temperature measuring and/or controlling circuit. The sealing member 4 is clamped between the wall and the U-shaped heater by plates 5, 7 compressed by a nut 10 engaging the bolt 6. The screw head 6a is non-circular and after passing through the aperture is rotated through 90‹ to engage the edge of the aperture. The head may be larger permitting the limbs of the heater to pass through it or several screws 6 may be used.
