857,559. Heating floors or walls by electric resistances. CALIDEC Ltd. Oct. 12, 1959 [Oct. 17, 1958], No. 33133/58. Class 39(3). The ends of a heating element for an electric floor or wall warming installation are each furnished with a lead for connection to a high voltage source, e.g. 250v. and the element is tapped intermediate its ends by at least one further lead for connection to a source of lower voltage, e.g. 230 or 200v. whereby the effective length of the element can be energised by each source at a substantially constant wattage per unit length.
