Abstract

1,125,107. Hopper. F. & R. ENGINEERING CO. Ltd. 10 May, 1966, No. 20759/66. Heading B8S. Material dropping through hopper 1 is controlled by sliding plate 9 which moves over side rollers 10, the upper surface of the plate being scraped by an end scraper (not shown), of polytetrafluorethylene. At the same time the plate engages side sealing strips 32, which, when the plate is withdrawn to the open position, engages fixed plates 30 to seal the sides of the shoot and prevent material contacting rollers 10.
