Abstract

Suitcases &c: of the kind having body & lid shells 13 provided around their opposed edges with metal frames 24 hinged together along one edge, have a lid hinge mounted upon a face of the metal frame 4 of the body or lid through the medium of interposed spacing blocks 11 each having on its outer face a locating projection 13 engaging a corresponding opening in the leaf 10 of the hinge rivets 20 or the like being passed through the said hinge leaf, spacing blocks and metal frame. The blooks 11 have projections 18 which engage the ends of the hinge pin. A sealing member 7 is mounted in a channel portion of the frame member 2 for engagement by a part 6 of the other frame member 4.
