Abstract

1,122,782. Microwave heating. SACHSISCHE GLASFASER - INDUSTRIE WAGNER & CO. 5 Aug., 1965, No. 33482/65. Heading H5H. A method of microwave heating dielectric material comprises passing the material coaxially through an open-ended one piece straight wave guide of constant cross-section and energizing the waveguide at or near one end by a H.F. generator, the length of the waveguide being selected in relation to the material so that the e.m. energy at the other end of the waveguide is zero. Materials having circular and H cross-sections are passed through a circular waveguide energized in the E 01 mode.
