Abstract

1,121,940. Boat launching trolley and trailer. M. POOLE. 17 July, 1967 [27 May, 1966], No. 23895/66. Headings B7A, B7B and B7S. A boat-launching trolley has a U-shaped frame 121 the limbs of which are welded to a transverse member 122a and to end-plates 124 which carry the hull-supporting cradle 25, the trolley being supported on running wheels 123. The lower ends of the plates 124 have rearwardly opening slots 12a to receive the cross-member of a road wheel unit having road wheels 138 mounted on stub axles 136b. Also secured to the cross-member are plates 13a carrying arcuate members 13b which interlock with the projections 12b when the plates 136 are rotated through approximately 180 degrees to bring the road wheels 138 into load-supporting position with the wheels 123 off the ground. In this position the plates 13a overlie the end plates 124 with the notches 13c engaging the fixed pin 129. Detachable mud-guards having supports which slide over the plates 124 and 13a retain the road wheel unit locked to the launching trolley during towing by a car.
