Abstract
1,121,393. Reservoir pens. H. RIEPE and K. H. DITZE [trading as RIEPE WERK]. 11 Feb., 1966 [12 Feb., 1965], No. 6277/66. Heading B6P. A tubular-point reservoir pen has one or more writing tubes 12, 13 mounted within a fixed outer tube 14 and pressed outwardly by springs 15, 16 engaging outwardly projecting shoulders 17, 19 respectively, on the inner ends of the tubes, the shoulders 17, 19 together with a shoulder 20 on the outer tube 14 limiting the outward movement of the tubes 12, 13. A thin line can be traced using the tube 12 and employing light pressure on the point, and a thicker line is obtained if the pressure is increased so that the tube 12 is forced into the tube 13. Similarly, by exerting greater pressure on the point, the tubes 12, 13 are forced within the tube 14 and a still thicker tracing obtained. The springs 15, 16 are situated in a supplementary reservoir 18 communicating with a main reservoir 22. A regulating wire 23 with a weight 24 attached passes through the central tube 12. Means may be provided whereby by turning a tube about its axis it is retained in retracted position.
