[Also in Division F2] In a control for a motor vehicle friction clutch two transformers 30, 31 have sharply saturating magnetic cores and primary windings respectively connected to A.C. generators driven by an engine and a change-speed gear first motion shaft, so that the repetition rates of pulses appearing at the secondary windings depend on engine and first motion shaft speeds. These pulses are rectified by diodes D32-D35 and appear in series opposition across two resistors 36, 37 before being smoothed by resistors 38, 39 and capacitors 40, 41. A signal Vd representing the difference in engine and first motion shaft speeds is applied to the base of a transistor Tr6.
