Abstract
1,119,789. Valves. JOH. VAILLANT K.G. 23 Nov., 1965 [28 Nov., 1964], No. 49684/65. Heading F2V. A gas flow controller has an inlet 12 and an outlet 20, flow between which is regulated by a sleeve 15 slidable over openings 14 in a tube 18 open to the inlet; the sleeve 15 is connected by webs 19 to a disc 16 that defines an annular gap 17 with the casing 11 through which the gas must pass to reach the outlet; a constant differential pressure is maintained corresponding to the disc weight. In another form (Fig. 3, not shown) ,the openings are downstream of the disc which is cupshaped and open to the gas upstream of the openings via holes in the disc. Either embodiment may include an adjustable by-pass between the inlet and outlet. Any gas passing between the sleeve and tube cannot flow to the outlet without influencing the position of the disc.
