Abstract

1,119,423. Magnetic transducer heads. TELEFUNKEN PATENTVERWERTUNGS G.m.b.H. 10 March, 1967 [22 March, 1966], No. 11339/67. Heading G5R. A magnetic head 3 has a device for adjusting the position of the working gap 6, the device being arranged between a magnetic head holder 2 and a housing 1. Holder 2 is mounted in housing 1, with all-round spacing with respect to its walls, and bears against support members 4, 5 which are mounted with their longitudinal axes parallel to the plane of the working gap. Member 4 is constructed as a knife-edge bearing and member 5 as a spring. A threaded screw 7 engages in a wedge-shaped notch and may be turned to vary the position of the working airgap 6. A mounting stud 10 permits rotation of the installed head to permit equal lengths of contact for a magnetic tape at each side of the working gap.
