Abstract
Aluminium alloys for use as sacrificial anodes comprise: .Zn.0.5.-.10% .Sn.0.01.-.2% .Ti.over 0.01 up to 0.1%.. .Cu.0.-.0.015% .Mg.0.-.0.05% .Si.0.-.0.25% .Fe.0.-.0.35% .Mn.0.-.0.1% the balance, apart from impurities, being aluminium. The alloy may be heated at 470 DEG C. for 8 hours and quenched in water.
