[Also in Division E1 A ramp 15 is adapted to be withdrawn from an inoperative position beneath the upper floor 5 of a multi-storey garage to the operative position shown by an electric motor driving chains 25 disposed on either side of the ramp which carries rollers 28 guided in tracks embedded in the side walls 33 of the garage. The leading edge 18 of the ramp has a limit switch and pressure plate 34 for detecting obstructions which means 34 is connected in a circuit of the motor incorporating " stop-go " lamps 37, 38.
