Abstract

1,115,752. Endless conveyers. HAMADA PRINTING PRESS MFG. CO. Ltd. 12 Oct., 1966 [24 Aug., 1966], No. 45674/66. Heading B8A. [Also in Division B6] Bundles of newspapers A, B, C, delivered on to a conveyer through inlet channels 69, to which the newspapers come from a stacker 21, packaging-machine 74 and bundling-machine 14, are delivered selectively, according to their destinations, by pusher means 73, into various delivery channels 61. Each bundle entering or travelling along the conveyer actuates switches LS1-LS4 which actuate memory devices which control the pusher means. Bundles from the various channels 69 cut into the flow of bundles on the conveyer, and are nevertheless delivered to the correct channels. The conveyer is continuously driven. Each bundle has attached to it on top a sorting sheet which indicates its destination.
