Abstract

1,115,422. Air filter. ENVIRCO Inc. 7 July, 1966, No. 3064/66. Heading BIT. [Also in Division E2] An air filter, adapted for mounting in a ceiling for ventilation, comprises an "absolute" filter cell 10 with an integral plastics frame 11, 15, receiving a gasket 16, and an enclosing metal grame 20, having an upper flange 21 to engage flange 15 and a lower screen 22 for protecting the cell 10, the whole being supported in a frame 13 whose vertical webs accommodate toggles 26 adjusted by bolts, toggles 26 being urged against flange 21 to force gasket 16 into sealing contact with horizontal flange 14 of frame 13. When demounted, contaminaled cell 10 is discarded and a fresh cell placed in frame 20.
