Abstract

1,115,272. Motor vehicles. LANDSVERK A.B. 18 Jan., 1966 [22 Jan., 1965], No. 2390/66. Heading B7H. A device for steerably connecting two selfpropelled track-laying vehicles 1, 2 comprises a pair of coupling elements 4, 5 each arranged to pivotally engage one of the vehicles about a transverse horizontal vehicle axis A, B and to engage each other by a readily separable main joint 6 and, on either side of the main joint 6, power means 8, 9 which engage the coupling elements by readily detachable separable bearings 15 and are arranged to be operable from one of the vehicles for mutual turning and resultant steering of the vehicles. The elements 4, 5 are triangular and pivotally interconnected about both a horizontal pin 23 and a vertical pin 7 and the power means 8, 9 are hydraulic rams and the bearings 15 are separable ball joints (Fig. 3, not shown).
