Abstract

The dual purpose machine is used for shovelling and excavating earth and is in two parts, linked by a swivel ring (5), with each capable of being worked separately by an operator in a single cabin (12). A swivel seat (15) is provided, giving access to the two separate control panels (16, 17). The front part (1) includes the transversally mounted engine (6) and operates the shovel (8). The wheels (10) are both driven and can also be steered. The rear part (2) has the mechanical excavator (18) and its wheels (19) are also driven and steerable. Separate vertically mounted swivel rings (3) between both parts permit relative sideways movement between them.
