1,114,990. Feeding sheets. METEORSIEGON APPARATEBAU PAUL SCHMECK G.m.b.H. 14 Nov., 1966 [28 April, 1966], No. 50848/66. Heading B6B. [Also in Divisions G2 and H1] Apparatus for transporting single sheets of a photosensitive material in a given plane comprises an endless conveyer belt of electrostatically chargeable material tensioned between drive and reversal rollers, the underside of the operative run of said belt sliding over a plate in the region of the plane, a metal strip extending transversely across the belt and placed in front of the edge of the plate on to which the belt runs, and means for applying a high D.C. voltage to the strip by which to transmit an electrostatic charge to the belt, the said plate being such as not to discharge the charge transmitted to the conveyer belt. The metal strip may be a foil wrapped around the front edge of the plate, or a wire placed adjacent thereto. The plate may be of a plastics material, the surface of which may be roughened and the belt may be of tetrafluoroethylene. The rollers may be earthed.
