Abstract

Appts. for drawing thermoplastic film has a first, slowly rotating drawing roller, a second more rapidly driven drawing roller placed a short distance from the first drawing roller, and electrodes for electrostatically discharging the film arranged on the second drawing roller. The films are drawn efficiently without the loss of material e.g. as a result of thickened edges. The drawn film has a uniform thickness and strength across its width.
