[Also in Division D1] In an electric steam and spray iron, a water gauge 45 associated with the water tank 48 is exposed by an opening 46 in an inclined part of the iron when it is in ironing position. As shown, the reservoir 28 is made from two stainless steel sections 28a, 28b, and is filled through an opening 30 in which is mounted the spray nozzle 36. The gauge consists of a transparent tube 47 connected by connectors 48, 55 of silicone rubber to the tank 28 and contains a preferably brightly coloured floating ball 64 to indicate the water level, tube 47 having a brightly coloured line on its rear side. An escutcheon 60 is placed in opening 46 surrounding tube 47 and carrying indicia indicating the water level in tank 48.
