Abstract

1,114,960. Detachable roofs. DR. ING. H. C. F. PORSCHE KOMM-GES. 12 May, 1967 [27 May, 1966], No. 22128/67. Heading B7B. A removable foldable cover which extends between the wind-shield frame and a roll-bar or yoke extending transversely of the vehicle to the rear of the passenger compartment is rigidly secured to the former and resiliently to the latter. The wind-shield frame connections comprise pegs 23 rigidly secured to light metal frames 12 and 13 extending along the sides of the cover-engaging sockets at the ends of the wind-shield frame together with latches 25, 26 also engaging the frame. The connections at the roll yoke comprising sockets 52, 53 resiliently mounted on the cover engaging tapered bolts resiliently fixed to the yoke. The cover is formed of fabric material having flexible reinforcements 14-18.
