Abstract
1,114,725. Protective arrangements. ELECTRONIC INSTRUMENTS CORPORATION. 3 Feb., 1967, No. 5243/67. Heading H2K. In a supply circuit, e.g. for an electric tool, comprising two transformers 3, 4 with seriesconnected primary windings 5, 5a and secondary windings 8, 9, the junction 10 between the secondary windings is connected to earth through the coil 11 of an earth leakage relay. In the event of an earth fault in an electric tool or other apparatus connected to secondary conductors 6, 7, the relay closes contacts 12, 14 to energize the coil 23 of a main relay. This coil moves a plunger 23a to open main contacts 24, 25 and through co-operating projections 26, 27 moves a plunger 28 to close contacts 32, 33 in circuit with an indicating lamp 34a. To reclose the main contacts 24, 25, a push-button switch 38 is operated to energize a coil 29 which moves the plunger 28. This plunger through the projections 26, 27 returns the plunger 23a to close the main contacts.
