Abstract

Turning - gear. -In power turning-gear of the kind described in Specification 20,811/14, comprising a rotatable screw shaft 1, a pinion 4 threaded thereon, and a coiled spring 8 forming a driving-connexion between the shaft 1 and a motor-driven shaft 2, means are provided to prevent the spring 8 from dropping and becoming wedged in any opening or space. Within the spring is a loose sleeve 15 having grooves slidingly engaged by fingers 16<a> on the cylinder portion 16 of a collar 7 secured to the motor shaft 2. A light spring 18 holds the sleeve 15 against the end of the screw shaft 1.
