Abstract
1,113,731. Cattle yokes. J. H. TAYLOR. 24 Oct., 1966 [23 Oct., 1965], No. 44978/65. Heading AIM. [Also in Division A5] A yoke to hold an animal's head e.g. whilst feeding from a trough, comprises a vertical bar 11 and a bar 14, pivotally mounted on an upwardly extending bar 12, the lower part of which is adapted to be contacted by an animal's head to pivot the bar 14 to a closed position wherein a pawl 17 engages the right hand stop 18 of a locking bar 19. Manual pivoting of the bar 19 about its longitudinal axis disengages the pawl and right hand stop. The lower end of the bar 14 may be curved, and a plurality of yokes having a common locking bar may be provided.
