Abstract

1,113,706. Glass runs. DRAFTEX G.m.b.H. 17 March, 1966 [28 Oct., 1965], No. 11780/66. Heading E1J. A glass run for a sliding glass pane, particularly for vehicle windows comprises a metalthrough section strip 4 enclosed by a PVC trough-shaped lining moulded or extruded on the strip 4, the interior surfaces of the lining carrying strips 3 of basic fabric coated with thermoplastic material and held to the lining by longitudinal ribs 5, 6 which override the longitudinal edges of the fabric strips, these latter having thereon roughened synthetic plush 2 electrostatically applied to the basic fabric preferably coated with a thermoplastic material. The fabric 3 may be inlaid intothe lining between the ribs 5 and 6 during the moulding or extrusion process of forming the troughshaped member.
