1,112,367. Press &c. knives. SANDVIKEN JERNVERKS AKTIEBOLAG. 14 Oct., 1965, No. 43614/65. Heading B4B. A press &c. knife has parallel side surfaces 11, 12, intermediate surfaces 13, 14 having different angles of inclination V, W relative to the surfaces 11, 12, and a cutting edge 17 formed by surfaces 15, 16, the angle u + r between which is greater than the angle V + W, the angle W being between 1 degree and 5 degrees, the angle V being between 8 degrees and 12 degrees, and the distance A being 0À15 to 0À35 times the thickness T of the knife. Preferably, the angle W is between 2 degrees and 4 degrees, the angle V between 9 degrees and 11 degrees, and the angles u and r between 25 degrees and 30 degrees. The distances B, C are each preferably 0À15 to 0-5 times the thickness T. The cutting edge portion is preferably of greater hardness than the remainder of the knife.
