Abstract
Pharmaceutical compositions having anti-inflammatory, analgesic and anti-pyretic activity comprise a sulphoxide of the formula: <FORM:1112207/A5-A6/1> wherein X is halo, alkoxy, alkyl or nitro; n is 0, 1 or 2; and R is a cycloaliphatic, C1-20 alkyl of CC2-20 alkenyl radical that is either unsubstituted or has one or more halo, alkoxy and/or hydroxy substituents, together with an aqueous pharmaceutical diluent containing a suspending dispersing or wetting agent or with a solid, semi-solid or oily pharmaceutical diluent. The compositions may be administered orally, parenterally, topically or rectally in the form of a tablet, aqueous or oily suspension, dispersible powder or granule, emulsion, hard or soft capsule, suppository, syrup or elixir.
