Abstract
111,001. White, A. E., (Toledo Scale Co.). Jan. 19, 1917. Balances and the like; pendulum-weight apparatus.-An equi-armed balance provided with weights and goods pans 11, 12 and a tare beam 32 has attached above the centre of the beam a vertical arm 59 connected by a ribbon 58 to a pendulum lever 51 carrying a weight-indicating hand 55. The ribbon 58 is secured to the upper end of the arm 59 by means of a pivoted anglepiece 67, Fig. 3, the ribbon being clamped between the upper face 69 of the angle-piece and a cap plate 70, Fig. 1. The position of the anglcpiece 67 may be adjusted by means of screws 67<1>, 68<1>.
