Abstract
110,959. Igranic Electric Co., and Bergmann, F. Nov. 20, 1916. Controllers and multiple rocking bars, actuating.-The moving contact-members of switches are operated by rotary arms with pins engaging slots in the contact members, and are locked by the rotary arms before and after operation. Each contact-member 5 of the series working in conjunction with fixed contacts 9 is loosely mounted in the spindle 7, and its end 10 has a slot 6. The operating-shaft 1 carries arms 2 which have pins 3 to enter the slots 6, and flanges 11 abutting the curved ends 10 of the contact-members, which prevent them from moving until operated by the pins and lock the members after operation. The arms 2 may be secured adjustably by pin-and-slot connexions 12 to a boss keyed on to the operating-shaft to allow for timing. The movable contact-members may be of the drum type, as shown in Fig. 5, or of the lever type, as shown in Fig. 7.
