Abstract
A food composition, suitable for feeding to babies, is prepared by reducing an alimentary material containing proteins and glucides, for example chicken-meat or fresh mixed vegetables, to a finely divided state, removing substantially all of any fatty substances contained therein, adding an amount of olive oil necessary to produce a balanced composition, prior to or during homogenising, and thereafter sterilising the composition. The material may be cooked and/or salted prior to adding the oil.
