Abstract

1,108,759. Pure fluid amplifier. SINGER CO. Feb. 11, 1966 [Feb.19, 1965], No.6014/66. Heading G3H. An electrically controlled fluid amplifier comprises a fluid jet 15 leading to an interaction chamber 20 which has two outlets 13, 14. Control chambers 54, 55 are connected to opposite sides of the chamber 20 by ducts 56, 57. The switching of the jet between the outlets 13, 14 is achieved by causing a spark between wires 50, 51 or 52, 53 which terminate in the control chambers. When the jet is passing through the outlet 13, the jet is switched by a spark between wires 52, 53. The ducts 56, 57 preferably are of a length at least equal to the maximum dimension of the chambers 54, 55.
