Abstract

1,077,259. Pure fluid amplifier. SOCIETE BERTIN & CIE. May 11, 1966 [May 12, 1965; Jan. 14, 1966], No. 20811/66. Heading G3H. A pure fluid amplifier comprises a power jet 107 and control jets 108, 109 opening into a . chamber which terminates in the downstream direction in convergent reflecting walls 117a, 125. When the jet is deflected by the pressure of control jet 109 say, the power jet is directed towards the wall 125 and is then reflected to output channel 114. The embodiment shows two forms of the chamber wall. The right hand wall is formed by two members 116, 117 each of which is formed by a single member pivot at 128. The walls may be formed completely convergent and may be adjustable or fixed. The convergent walls may also be curved or convex as well as straight. Two such amplifiers may be arranged in series with the output channels of the first forming the control jets of the second.
