[Also in Division B3] An hydraulic bearing for supporting a projection 21 on the spindle of a grinding machine (Division B3) comprises a stem 23 through which hydraulic fluid flows to an annular space 24 in communication with helical recesses 26, exhaust liquid passing through channels 27 between the recesses on to the grinding wheel and acting non-coolant therefor.
