Abstract
Three-dimensional zeolitic/molecular sieve having uniform pores large enough to adsorb oxygen at the normal boiling point thereof and containing at least 0.1% by weight of the metals zinc or cadmium are used as catalysts in the dehydrogenation of hydrocarbons. The pores of the sieve may be large enough to adsorb benzene. The dehydrogenation may be conducted at 450-550 DEG C. In the example, cyclohexane is dehydrogenated to benzene.ALSO:Three-dimensional zeolitic/molecular sieve having uniform pores large enough to adsorb oxygen at the normal boiling point thereof and containing at least 0.1% by weight of the metals zinc or cadmium are used as catalysts in the dehydrogenation of hydrocarbons. The pores of the sieve may be large enough to adsorb benzene. The dehydrogenation may be conducted at 450-550 DEG C.
