In a bellows sealing arrangement between a cylinder 3 and a piston rod 6 in which the bellows 1 is sealingly secured at one to the cylinder and at the other end to the rod, the effective cross-sectional area of the bellows is equal to that of the piston 7 so that, in operation; the volume displaced by the piston is equal to that released by the bellows.
