Abstract

1,106,463. Decollating machines. UARCO Inc. 7 July, 1966 [16 July, 1965], No. 30497/66. Heading B6B. A decollating machine comprises a frame 12 which has a stationery support platform 21. Two parallel crown rollers 40, 42, driven in the direction of the arrows A and B at the same speed, withdraw the fan-fold stationery 16 from the platform 21, and feed it into separate paths defined by arcuate guide plates 24 and 26. The carbon paper 20 is wound at reel 64. The guide plates 24 and 26 extend to substantially upright terminal ends 44b and 46b, and refold shelves 28 mounted on the frame 12 near these terminal ends, have support surfaces 48 at an angle of between 70 and 90 degrees to the terminal ends of the guide plates. Each refold shelf 28 is recessed at 48a to prevent successive arching of the refolded stationery. Substantially L- shaped end stops 60, provided with magnets (62, Fig. 5), are positioned on the refold shelves 28 to limit the outward extent of the refolded stationery. The support platform 21 is inclined at 21a, and forms a trough with the left-hand refold shelf 28 (Fig. 2), which trough is delimited by end stops 60 and (60<SP>1</SP>).
