Abstract

The invention comprises heat curable compositions comprising (i) 100 parts by weight of a polyoxy alkylene polymer of M.W. at least 50,000; (ii) from 10-40 parts by weight of an anhydrous fumed silica filler and (iii) a curing agent. The curing agent is preferably sulphur or a sulphur-containing compound and is suitably a mixture of sulphur and an organic peroxide. Antioxidants and accelerators (Examples of which are given) may also be present. The Examples describe compositions (and the curing thereof) containing a copolymer of propylene oxide and allyl glycidyl ether and polypropylene oxide.
